Byrne Studies Fergie And Lily To Channel Brand's Pop Star Belle
12 July 2009 3:56 PM, PDT
Aussie actress Rose Byrne is studying Lily Allen and Fergie as she prepares to play Russell Brand's pop star girlfriend in new film Get Him To The Greek.
The Troy star plays outrageous pop star Jackie Q in the Forgetting Sarah Marshall sequel and her research involves watching girl power icons.
She tells WENN, "I've been watching a lot of Fergie videos and she's a great dancer and goes for it. I've been watching some Lily Allen, Beyonce, Kylie Minogue, Spice Girls; I mean you name it, all of the girl bands."
And she hopes her pop video scenes in the film are lit as well as the real stars' promos: "They don't wear anything in these videos but they have good lighting, so I'm hoping the lighting will be just as good on this film. I'm not wearing very much in the film but I will be wearing lots of hot pants."
